public interface CacheMap<K,V>
A simplified map interface for cache-only purposes. In addition to the simplification this interface distinguishes two cases of addition and removal depending on whether the data is being actually modified or just swapped in and out of memory.
It define two methods for adding elements to the cache with different semantics: 'load' and 'put'. The 'load' method is to be used when data is fetched from permanent storage while the 'put' method is to be used where the data associated with a given key is modified at runtime. This distinction is important for managing the MVCC transactional cache - the 'load' operation is not going to be rolled back in case of an abort!Similarly, it defines two methods for removing elements: 'drop' and 'remove'. The former is analogous to load, it is to be used to free memory from the cache and its effect is not going to be rolled back in case of a transaction abort. The latter is for permanently removing a data item and it is going to be rolled back in case of an abort.
